You guys could ride up to my ranch, and I'll return the favor by being drunk by the time you get there...
I know how much Petey likes gravel roads...
...and my ranch road looks more like a washed out creek these days!
Here's what the ranch looked like Friday night:
I did manage to try riding my wife's 200 in the snow. It mostly sucked, so I didn't bother getting mine out.
Then I made all the fun I could with the ranch ATV:

I have never been there but I implicitly trust Petey's judgment and as long as the route gurus find some tasty rides for us I say yes. We usually have a single home base for 2 nights rather than point-to-point on NoMoSno...suggestions otherwise? _________________ May the wind take your troubles away. |

Mena three.
I first set foot there in 1984 on a brand new silver and red FJ1100. Lots of good memories for me there too. |

I'm fine either Mena or Gassville.
One point: If we go to the Brass Door, I'd suggest rooms on the back side of the motel. For one thing, it's noisy on the front side (because it sits right on US 62). More importantly, thought it's in a wet county, they have a no-open-containers law that will bite you if they see you drinking in the parking lot... might as well be discreet about it.
On the other hand, Mena's in a dry county. But at least the hotels where we've stayed there have a sort of "interior courtyard" layout, so it's pretty easy to be relatively invisible. _________________ You're only young once, but you can remain immature indefinitely. |

wrong dude. And the man dress is called, ahem, a "thoub." I have no idea how to spell thoub (pronounced thoob...maybe that's how you spell it?). My marine captain brought me a cap from Afghanistan last year. It goes nicely with the thube (one of these spellings must be it, right?). I don't know what it's called.
It will complete a stunning ensemble though. |

I don't care where, but the time works for me so far. If we go to Mena I will probably take my Versys and ride the great unpaved stuff down there. There's a road southeast of town I'd like to ride from end to end while remaining vertical, right Liquid?
My buddy Rod told me to let him know when NMS was so he could try to come, too. _________________ Paint chips make me thirsty! |

Uh... okay! But there's fireroads all over Arkansas to remain vertical on! The last time I took a group ride on gravel, Petey took a swat at me, and lemmetellya, he may not be a big guy, but when he connects his knuckle sandwich to your schnozz, you'll know about it!
I ride lots of fireroads on my streetbikes, especially when snow removal sand and salt render the asphalt with less traction... but I think I'll stick to the asphalt down there, for the most part...
...and the next time you and I tear down a gravel road, YOU'RE going first - - so if you decide to go gravel surfing, I'll be there to pick you up BEFORE the locals have their way with you!
Here's the only riding I got to do last weekend, on my wife's bike :

Yea, and don't you forget it! I'm getting better on that sh*t since I got the KLR....not as intimdating as that porky FJR on gravel. _________________ There is no better therapy than a ride. |
